Wonderlust Panel: The Role of Active Citizenship in Thriving Communities

An Announcement from Wonderlust:

Friday Forum:  The Role of Active Citizenship in Thriving Communities
April 12th Noon until 1:30 PM
Bozeman Public Library Big Meeting Room
FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Improving our community begins with understanding it. How do our local governments work? What about local taxes? Where does the money come from and where does it go? How can we act to improve our communities in the Gallatin Valley?

Join us for a panel of professionals who will address these questions.

  • Talking about local government organization and budgets: Jim Doar, Gallatin County Administrator Carson Taylor, former Bozeman Mayor
  • Providing examples of successful community involvement: Maddy Pope, Trust for Public Land Project Director, The Story Mill Community Park Heather Grenier, HRDC Chief Executive Officer/President, The Warming Center
  • The role of Citizen Advisory Boards to be addressed by all speakers

This Friday Forum is presented in collaboration with the League of Women Voters and sponsored by MSU Wonderlust and the Bozeman Public Library Foundation.
