  • About Yourself

  • Hi!

With Aunahil I want to assist others in effectively sharing their stories. Who needs to better understand your work and passion? Is it collaborators? The Press? Sponsors? Call me, my passion is connecting and supporting people through the medium of film, music, dance, theatre, visual art………

Most of my young years I lived in the tri-state area (NY, CT, NJ). I started studying my chosen field of Theatre in New York City at the Lee Strasberg Institute during High School and after HS graduation I attended and graduated with distinguished honors from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. I also did course work at Emerson College, New England Conservatory of Music, Boston Conservatory of Music and Montclair University.

I worked professionally in NYC for 4 years and then moved to Boston and attended Berklee College of Music. I returned to NYC 4 years later and worked with The American Dance Machine under the incredible direction of Lee Theodore.
I loved all my work, although found the monkey business of “The Business” incredibly challenging. If I had more courage at that time, I would have been very vocal about it and applaud my #me too sisters and brothers for stepping up.

When my first child arrived, I realized that I was not cut out for leaving the house at night to perform so from then on, I came up with other avenues to use my talent and education. As time went on, I realized that producing, directing, and creating the live theatrical components in events was something I thoroughly enjoyed and was good at. I built and ran my company Aunahil, out of offices in NY, DC and CO until early 2009 when I moved to Santa Fe, NM. The financial situation of the country at that time hit me hard and I needed to start a new story. My 4 biological and 2 stepchildren were pretty much out the door, so I had the joy of returning to professional theatre as a director, actress, singer and dancer.

In 2016 with a six-month contract in DC I moved to Gallatin Gateway knowing I would be flying out of MT every month for about two weeks to the east coast until June. The work in DC was great producing 5 live productions for a wonderful foundation and longtime client.

Once the 2017 contract was completed I decided MT had won my heart and wanted to commit to Big Sky Country full time. It was then that I was offered the opportunity to build an International Film Festival in Bozeman, a festival I named BZN IFF.

Part of this contract meant that I was agreeing to not build other work and I signed it as I was completely aware that the work would take every second, I had work. it was July 2017, and I knew no one in Bozeman. I committed four years of my life to it and what an incredible experience and fabulous opportunity to get fully invested in Bozeman and Montana. When my contract ended July 1, 2021, I made the decision to step away and I am truly excited to get on other projects closer to my heart.
