January 18 Luncheon Featuring Alyson Roberts and Toxic Productivity
January 18 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
$20.00 – $35.00Burnout is widespread. According to a Gallup report, 28% of U.S. employees say they feel burned out at work very often or always. Depending on the industry, burnout can be even higher – almost half of nonprofit employees in the U.S. are burned out or at risk of burning out.
Chances are you or someone you know is burning out. The new year provides us the opportunity to think more about this phenomenon and what we can do to address it as individuals and as organizations.
At the start of a new calendar year, we often reach for new goals and habits. “This year will be different!” we say to ourselves. Sometimes those resolutions stick. Oftentimes they don’t. What if you resolved to do less, not more, this year?
Alyson will guide us through how toxic productivity manifests into burnout and what we can do about it. We’ll explore our limitations as humans and learn a few tools for creating a more meaningful mindset around productivity in our personal and professional lives. There are no simple solutions to burnout but there are small changes that can make a big difference.
Alyson Roberts is an entrepreneur, a caretaker, an art business manager, and an aspiring writer and facilitator.
