We may consider “shut up and listen” to be the ultimate advice when we’re trying to get our point across, but listening isn’t about just shutting our mouths and opening our ears. Listening is a dynamic activity that includes mirroring, summarizing, reflecting, and yes, even silence. When you perfect your listening skills amazing things happen. Arguments quiet and productive, enlightening conversations happen. Win-win business negotiations end with a handshake. And the most important thing of all? You’ve offered another person the greatest gift—they feel understood, respected and will say so. Kerry will be presenting on what listening is and what it isn’t along with why listening is important in every aspect of our lives and teaching us different tactics to be better listeners.
Location: Riverside Country Club, 2500 Springhill Road, Bozeman
When: February 19th from 11:30 am-1pm.
Preregistration & Member Guests: Advanced registration is requested for food planning and room setup (by Noon the Monday prior to the Wednesday luncheon). Members bringing guests can register and pay for their guest online. Guests can also register separately and pay for their own attendance. Non-members may attend up to 3 luncheons before becoming a BPW member.
Missed the registration deadline? Email programs@bozemanbpw.org to be added to the event or come the day of and register at the door! There is an increased charge for anyone who does not register by 12:00 PM on the Monday prior to the event.
Lunch Cancellations: You can cancel without issue by 12:00 PM the Monday prior to the lunch. To cancel your registration by this deadline, email treasurer@bozemanbpw.org. Cancellations thereafter will be billed for and responsible for the applicable registration fee.
